CryptoSlate noted the aelf blockchain reinstated public node entry and multiple fundamental features after a hostile smart-contract episode. This restoration brought back the aelfscan explorer, FairyVault movements, Awaken exchange operations, and the TMRW DAO staking dashboard.

The downtime stopped block creation for roughly one week. While this occurred, network staking incentives ceased, so there are no incentives from the suspended timeframe to redeem.

Centralized trading platforms are restarting deposits and withdrawals individually. Bithumb scheduled a resume time of Sept. 14 at 14:00 KST for ELF holdings. MEXC designated its resumption for Sept. 5, telling customers to generate new deposit addresses since previous ones lacked validity.

Probes located 155 transactions linked to the illicit activity, split into 127 on AELF and 28 on tDVV. The exploit utilized five unique .NET modules built to engage host environments and node-associated secrets and settings.

aelf warned these functions did not confirm all code ran or that specific secrets were captured. By Aug. 26, the audit showed zero illicit movement of standard account funds and no leak of standard account private keys. Yet, this conclusion left node and infrastructure secret breaches unconfirmed.

The full post-event report and ultimate cause assessment are still unposted. The coin has fallen 7.27% in the last day and now sits at #335 in market value.
