Spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds traded on U.S. exchanges have swung to positive net flows for the year, CoinDesk reports. The funds currently display nearly $800 million in net inflows, up from a $5.8 billion net outflow position recorded on July 13.
Bitcoin prices rebounded from lows seen in early June, reaching the $85,000 level from the sub-$58,000 zone. CoinDesk data analysis pinpointed July 13 as the annual low point for these ETFs.
Since U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced increased bond purchases in August, approximately $4 billion in inflows have entered the funds. The Treasury characterized the action as a liquidity management tool used as bond yields climbed to multi-year highs.
The ETFs recorded six consecutive days of inflows totaling $2.84 billion. This streak is shorter than previous six-day records: one from February 22 to 29, 2024, brought in $2.35 billion, and another from November 6 to 13, 2024, attracted $4.73 billion.
Yearly inflows are still below the $35.2 billion recorded in 2024 and the $21.4 billion seen in 2025.
